Angels and humans are different! That may seem like a silly statement, but many people for some reason don’t understand that.
The biblical view of angels is that they are celestial beings. Superior to man,
Simply; we are of the earth they are in the heavenly created before man. Job 38:6-7
The term angel means messenger. That doesn’t mean all angels are messengers,
it just means that in encounters with mankind they are delivering God’s messages to us.
Such as the work of the Angel of Death in Egypt. Or as in the birth of our Lord, to the shepherds, etc.
It is safe to say they are performing God’s mission towards mankind on earth.
Most times they appear to be human, but I believe that is because we probably couldn’t handle their true appearance.
Remember that they also reflect the glory of God.
Fallen angels or Demons are completely different because they have rebelled with Satan,
and will face God with him at the judgment seat. A little known fact is that God flooded the Earth because fallen angels [The Watchers] produced offspring to corrupt the DNA of mankind. We know that they also taught man much evil and many of the things we see today are no different. Jesus said that the seed of women would crush the head of Satan. Satan’s plan was to distort all mankind, forcing God to remove that evil and preserve His plan.
I have lost count of how many times I have heard someone say that when we die and go to heaven we become angels. This is a huge misconception. When a person dies they go to one of two places. Either hell waiting judgment, or paradise to be with Jesus.
We have been different from the very beginning. The angels were around when the earth was created, including man. Job 38
They are also always considered superior to man. Of course Paul does tell us that the saints of God will also judge angels. But this is fallen angels.
Some say that angels are saints, such as calling Michael “St. Michael”, etc. but biblically speaking The only way someone becomes a saint is to be
human and accept Jesus as your Savior. See my article on Salvation.
Remember that they are already with God and are not under the sin of Adam.
Because they already are in the presence of God, and if they don’ fall under the sin of Adam so there is no need to obtain Salvation.
If you have proof that an angel can become a saint please show me the Chapter and Verse that supports your position.
God created us to be different, in Genesis He said let them produce after their own kind. that is in direct reference to mankind.
That is one another reason why evolution is false because nobody has ever shown a dog that used to be a frog or a flower for that matter. You know the elusive missing link.
Angels were created before man and are sexless. Remember Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said to them,
“You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God.
But that does not mean we become angels, it means there are no sexual relations in heaven, period!
Categories of Angels:
There are both malevolent and benevolent.
Malevolent are such as Satan, and his demons
Remember that they can appear as angels of light.
Benevolent are any Angel who did not follow Lucifer.
The only mention of female angels is in Zechariah 5:9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. * That doesn’t mean there aren’t more, it’s just not covered in scripture. It also doesn’t mean that there are sexes in heaven, just that Jesus said they never marry or are given in marriage.
Different classes include:
Cherub or Cherubim:
It should be noted that their place of honor is great enough that God has them
depicted on the Ark of the Covenant and in the former Temple in Jerusalem.
These angels also guard the Throne of God in Gen. 3:24
He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way,
to guard the way to the tree of life.
The Cherubim are also the ones who transport God around Heaven.
This is one of highest classes of Angels. The only one mentioned is Lucifer.
In his case he was in charge of the universe until he rebelled.
A small description of him is in Ezekiel 28:6-19
That story is a great reminder of what pride can do to a persons soul.
Archangels: Uriel, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Raguel, Remiel, and Saraqael.
Duties performed by Arch Angels:
Uriel, the holy angel, who is over the world and over Tartarus.
Michael, the holy angel is set over the best part of mankind and over chaos.
Gabriel, is over Paradise and the serpents and the Cherubim.
Raphael, presides over the spirits of men.
Raguel, takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries.
Remiel, the one God set over those who rise.
Saraqael, the one over the spirits who sin in the spirit.
One of the celestial beings hovering above God’s throne in Isaiah’s vision. Isa. 6.
A member of the highest order of angels, described as having 6 wings and 4 faces
Guardian Angels: Not described, but spoken of. There are many types of stories about thiscategory of Angel. But the truth is the facts aren’t really known.
Watchers: Moses states they are the Sons of God in Gen 6,
Who had relations with women and produced the Nephilim. They are the ones chains in hell in chains waiting for judgment.
The bible says that they are now called evil spirits.
All the angels that accepted Lucifer [Satan], and followed after him, are known as fallen angels or demons.
There may be many more categories, but all the Angels who still follow God are part of what is known as the Heavenly Host.
The worship of angels is strictly forbidden, it is idol worship. Which is breaking the 2nd Commandment.
We are never to pray to Angels, Saints, Mary or any other being, but to the Father in the name of the Son.

Satan is a created being and thus not omnipresent like God. The Bible reveals that one third of the angels sided with Satan in their rebellion against God and as a result they were cast out of heaven down to the earth. Since he cannot be everywhere at once. Satan must rely on the help of these fallen angels .
The idea of evil spirits and demonization is dificult for many people to accept. Demon possessions mentioned in the Gospel are often considered to be nothing more than unscientific first –century explanations for physical diseases or mental illnesses. The argument could be made that the people in the first century did not have modern medical understanding when diagnosing diseases and so they just assumed that demons were involved.
It is fashionable nowadays to deny the existence of the devil .Satan and demons are real beings and they exist today. The Bible is clear that demons exist and Jesus confirmed the existence of demons.
Matthew 10 : 1
Mat 10:1 And having called His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, so as to cast out, and to heal every disease and every weakness of body.
When Satan rebelled against God with the angels who participated in his rebellion ,God cast them out of heaven along with Satan . They became evil spiritual beings .The violent nature of the unclean spirit has its root in their initial revolt against God.
Revelation 12 : 7 – 9
Rev 12:7 And war occurred in Heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels made war,
Rev 12:8 but they did not have strength, nor yet was place found for them in Heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent being called devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
