Lukes Letters

The Books of Luke and Acts

Luke 1 Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4 that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

Acts 1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The first thing you should notice is that they are both addressed to Theophilus. Paul was on trial in Rome and his coworker in the Lord was the Physician Luke. Theophilus was the lead investigator for the court of Cesar. Cesar was going to decide Paul’s fate and Theophilus brought in the evidence. The two books Luke wrote were written not only about the beginning Church but also how Paul played a role.

The letters were in essence affidavits; a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in court. Luke had a first hand account of everything and was more than qualified to testify.

These two letters or books in the New Testament not only give solid evidence they are part of the Canon. Church fathers added them because they were also inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Semiramus

The Goddess Columbia warrior goddess. Liberty has existed in many cultures, including classical examples dating from the Roman Empire to those representing national symbols such as the American Columbia and its Statue of Liberty, All of it started in Babylon and is one of the many names used to worship Semiramis who was Nimrods wife and eventually known as the Queen of Heaven.

In Egypt, as the “queen of heaven” she was the greatest and most worshiped of all the divinities. During Egyptian bondage, the Israelites repeatedly departed from the one true invisible Elohim and worshiped the pagan mother. When the Israelites fell into apostasy under King Solomon, they worshiped this mother goddess as Ashtaroth (Asherah), a name by which the pagan Babylonian goddess was known to the Israelites:

Legend has it that after Semiramis died, she ascended into heaven and was returned to earth inside a large egg which fell into the Euphrates river. The egg was pushed ashore by a dove and she emerged from the egg as Astarte or Ishtar (in English, Easter). To show her gratitude to the dove, she turned it into an egg-laying rabbit, all signs of fertility.

Another sign or symbol found throughout Babylonia is the obelisk, a phallic symbol. These can also be seen in Egypt, Rome and Washington DC. The obelisk in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican was dragged up to Rome from Egypt.

Roman and Greek names:

Goddess of Hunting & Childbirth * Diana Artemis
Goddess of Crafts, War & Wisdom * Minerva Athena
Goddess of Growing Things * Ceres Demeter
Symbol of the Fertile Earth * Terra Gaea
Protector of Marriage & Women * Juno Hera
Goddess of the Hearth * Vesta Hestia
Wife and Sister of Kronos * Ops Rhea

Nike in ancient Greek religion, was a goddess who personified victory, also known as the Winged Goddess of Victory. The Roman equivalent was Victoria.

It’s extremly important for you to understand that no matter what her name is, she is still a false god. Exodus 20
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Did Jesus say He was God?

Many times I have heard Muslims proclaim. Show me the verse where Jesus said I Am God. Or Jesus never claimed to be God. The problem is that many are afraid to look at the truth. But seriously I would like to see the verse where Jesus said don’t worship me, I’m just a prophet.

Exodus 3:13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.

In the New Testament God said this. John 8:52 Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ 53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”
54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”

58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

They picked up stones to kill Him because He claimed to be God.

“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:1-4

In the passages above Paul is telling us that Christ was the one who spoke to Moses. The God of the Old Testament is Jesus in the New Testament!

Vacines

I copied this note. Very sad, but whats even sadder is it happens all the time. The writer is unknown to me but the story is not.
________________________________________________________________
Hi (friend)–“In reality, the sky did fall.”

First off I would like to say how truly sorry I am that I was upset with you and called you names. I could not help but get so angry with you every time you posted a stupid anti vaccine post. Being vaccinated military wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 5 all vaccinated I thought you had lost your marbles. I even unfriended you because of your ridiculous posts. Which sadden me because we were good friends and cared for each others families as our own.

Last summer I accompanied my grandchild’s well check up for school shots ( kindergarten). Everything was great that day we went shopping , out to lunch and Toys R Us.

*** While I was busy texting on my phone the Dr comes in says weight and everything looks good. The the nurse comes in with the routine shots and administers them. ***
I will never forget the screams that day He went into anaphalactic shock Immediately. The nurse yelled for the Dr and they called 911 and preformed CPR . It all happened so fast . I could not believe my eyes. After being flown to a children’s hospital and spent 2 weeks.

I never got the answers to my questions and was told some bull crap that he must had gotten bit my a bee earlier in the day. (Not true one bit)
After that my grandchild was never the same. Its like no one is there anymore. My grandchild was a happy and healthy child other than a cold here and there., teething and diaper rashes. All normal stuff.

One day it clicked that I had read something on your page that I thought was crazy about vaccines. So I begin the search of vaccine ingredients and was mortified. Words cannot express how sorry I am that I didn’t listen to your warnings and post. I really thought you were saying “The Sky is Falling”. In reality the Sky did fall.

Our grandchild is not the same. Never smiles , laughs , always fussy and just is not there any more. The school has been hell to deal with and said we need to consider special help classes.(another long story) That child was normal. We have hundreds of pictures and videos. Now when I mention this to Dr’s they act like I am crazy ( I now see how people might have treated you. . .um, including me, I guess).

I have been told if I mention vaccine injury at work I will be fired. Already my husband’s job is thin due to my inquires. Somehow I struck a nerve. But I know deep in my heart and soul that on Aug (date omitted), 2015 our normal grandchild died inside, but lives. Does that make sense to you (friend to whom I’m now apologizing)?

I would very much appreciate your friendship once again. But don’t blame you if you don’t want to converse with me. If you mention this to anyone , please don’t use my name. As is I hope I don’t lose my job or my husband after 30 years marriage we might divorce because of this. Being military and all of us being vaccinated and were okay is hard for them to believe vaccines are bad.

He won’t read anything I show him .. so it’s kinda hopeless. Everyone seems to be like zombies and believe what ever any Dr has to say. I know I am right even If I stand alone.
I hope that you can forgive me in your heart? If you have any information to help me I’d sure would be happy to read it.”

GOD exists And Is JESUS the Savior

So I’ve been hearing a lot about the teachings of Heathenism, Unitarianism, and Islam. Although there may be others as well; all these beliefs DENY that Jesus is God, they say that the Godhead (the Trinity) is a lie that was taken from pagan beliefs. Is this true?
What is the Trinity? Well if there’s one thing that must be made clear it’s the fact that the Biblical Trinity was NOT gotten from pagan religions. Why? Because all the apostles of Jesus taught and believed this! But why, why did they believe this, they were all Jews why did they believe all this? Well it’s obvious that they didn’t have a Bible so does that mean the Old Testament Scriptures taught this? Obviously YES!
In the gospel of John the apostle John identified Jesus before His birth as “the Word of God” which according to the Holy Ghost’s inspiration on him was the Word that became flesh. Now do you know that this Word is mentioned exceptionally various times in the Old Testament? Let’s read: “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…” Genesis 3:8: do voices WALK? No. But here it reads that God’s Voice was “walking” in the garden, why? Because this was the Word mentioned in John 1:1 that was made flesh as the Lord Jesus. There are also other places where the Word of God is said to have “come/came” to certain people, now understand that is a verb and speaks of action »» : Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD #came unto Abram…:
»» : 1 Samuel 15:10 Then #came the word of the LORD unto Samuel…:
»» : 2 Samuel 7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD #came unto Nathan…:
»» : 1 Kings 6:11 And the word of the LORD #came to Solomon…:
»» : 1 Kings 12:22 But the word of God #came unto Shemaiah the man of God…:
»» : 1 Kings 16:1 Then the word of the LORD #came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha…:…
and there are a lot of other verses that speak of the Word of God coming to people. Yes you might say, but this is just speaking of things God said to people. Well if that was the case then you must understand that this Word of God is NOT the same as every other word of every other being. This Word possesses power, and this Word is God, this Word is why the men of old could know God. It was not just “sound” from the mouth of God but more than that it was God coming to His people. Whenever a prophet heard the Word of God to them it wasn’t just like hearing any news, rather it was as though they ENCOUNTERED God personally! Yes at times angels in representing God speak the Word of God to men but none the less they never speak the Word of God as their own but as the Word of the LORD GOD.
No matter the argument the fact remains clear that God’s Word is the most important topic discussed in the Old Testament! And also the Word of God could never come to anyone without the Holy Spirit of God working one in one with the Word. Read the Scriptures they prove this!
But what does all this mean? In all my years of study of the Bible I’ve had issues understanding the Trinity in the Old Testament but as you can read clearly in the Old Testament the Trinity has always been there. God (the Father), the Word of God (Jesus the Christ), and the Spirit of God (the Holy Ghost). It’s really funny the amount of people that do not notice this, and this is the truth. Right from the beginning God has always been triune, but until Jesus God was not triune in persons but triune in person. Only in the New Testament is God one in three “persons” but prior to this God was three in one, that is in personality.
John wrote: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7: this is speaking of the Trinity of God in personality BEFORE the Word of God was made flesh at the birth of Christ. You see God is ONE and only ONE, but “God” is not a name it is a word (always remember that). Idols are called “God”, angels are called “God” as well, even humans in some cultures were believed to have been “God” too, so exactly how was the true Creator meant to differentiate Himself from all these false “God’s”? They were all beings of their own, who were acclaimed to be able to do exactly what God can do, they were even believed to have been the creator(s) of the whole universe.
So exactly what could God be that they (false gods) can not be that would draw all men unto Him?: “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.” Acts 2:22-24: Now please I want you to note down the word “foreknowledge”, in the context here by virtue of that word it means God has ALWAYS had the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus in His knowledge, now understand that this doesn’t mean God was thinking about this but rather God KNEW this! In this sense we are therefore at the conclusion that the LORD God had KNOWN His Son right from before the beginning of the world and this my friend is the difference.
The only thing that made God different from those false gods, the only thing that made God true and they false was that He and His Word and His Spirit although one were all in harmony one WITH the other and in so doing the Voice of God walked and came and spoke to people, the Spirit of God anointed men that they would be holy and know the truth that they would be sons of God and be blessed. And by so doing love for God sprouted within the man so that he knew God as His personal Creator.
The same issue is here as well where you find God making His unique Word (His good news / Gospel) flesh (human) and in so doing personalized His Word as the man Jesus who is Himself God. A lot of people then might ask, but why then is the Spirit of God personalized when it was only the Word that was made flesh? Well the answer is simple, wherever the Word of God is the Spirit is with the Word so when the Word was personalized so was the Spirit within the Word (Jesus) because Jesus is the complete Word of God which is the gospel of salvation which testifies and declares the Father.
YOU are triune too with a spirit, soul, and body so live for Him, live for God our Saviour!****
John 1:14 “And the Word was MADE FLESH, and DWELT AMONG US, (and we beheld HIS GLORY, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father,) FULL of grace and truth.”***
***1 John 4:2 “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that CONFESSES that Jesus Christ IS #COME IN THE FLESH is of God:”****Jesus #IS God and the Savior of the whole world!

Who is the Holy Spirit?

There are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force. Others understand the Holy Spirit as the impersonal power that God makes available to followers of Christ. What does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit? Simply put, the Bible declares that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will.

The fact that the Holy Spirit is God is clearly seen in many Scriptures, including Acts 5:3-4. In this verse Peter confronts Ananias as to why he lied to the Holy Spirit and tells him that he had “not lied to men but to God.” It is a clear declaration that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. We can also know that the Holy Spirit is God because He possesses the characteristics of God. For example, His omnipresence is seen in Psalm 139:7-8, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” Then in 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, we see the characteristic of omniscience in the Holy Spirit. “But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”

We can know that the Holy Spirit is indeed a divine person because He possesses a mind, emotions, and a will. The Holy Spirit thinks and knows (1 Corinthians 2:10). The Holy Spirit can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30). The Spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27). He makes decisions according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). The Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity. As God, the Holy Spirit can truly function as the Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be (John 14:16, 26, 15:26).

Judging

Many times I hear people say your not suppose to judge. Which is the same thing as saying that I want to do what I want, so don’t question me about my actions or behavior. It does amaze me sometimes when I hear Christians use that phrase. Because it means they are only reading part of it’s meaning.

Lets take a look at the biblical view maybe it might shed some light on the subject. Matthew 7:1-3 ” Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your eye”. NKJV

On the surface this would seem to say not to look at anything that someone does and ever make a conclusion that they could be wrong. But, we have to try and understand that Jesus was talking about those who are critical of someone when we ourselves are doing the same thing. adultery, lying, stealing, etc. It’s like a parent telling their child not to smoke while they’re doing it.

Again remember what Paul taught: “For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person.” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13
What Paul is saying is that those people who aren’t part of the body will be judged by the Lord. But those of us who are of the Church are to judge the actions of fellow believers. We are to help each other with correction, for the health of the church.

Remember also John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.: In other words don’t hate a brother but rebuke someone to bring them into a proper relationship.

That doesn’t mean that we should run around trying to find fault with everybody, actually the opposite is true. But things like false doctrine, committing sin, etc should be confronted so that the person can be brought back to a correct relationship with Jesus.
There is a formula for doing this:

1. In love bring it to the persons attention
2. Bring someone with you to confront the person
3. Bring the matter before the church body.Of course thats only if the first two have no effect.

We can’t always sit down and speak face to face with someone. On the internet, facebook or other such pages it is the only contact we make with some people. This means that we have to understand that when someone approaches us about an issue, we should keep an open mind.

If you make a statement about your life and fellow Christians know that it doesn’t agree with what the bible teaches. We have an obligation to confront it. Some people will thank you, and yet others will become hurt or angry. Then it becomes a situation of not listening and saying something like thats just the way it is. Or thats the way my church teaches me, or anything not to be confronted by the issue.

Here’s the bottom line; If we call ourselves a Christian, then that means we have submitted ourselves to Christ. A disciple of His, is a student, and nobody starts out as a teacher. We must all be willing to learn His word and grow in it. Thats where you get great teachers, and preachers from [like Spurgeon]. But it’s also how we develop the wonderful gifts the Holy Spirit gives us.

So, please in the future realize that even though someone may not approach you the way you’d like, maybe you should think that they might be doing it out of love. Especially if you know that the bible speaks out against what your doing. One thing you should keep in mind is that when you belong to Jesus you become a “new creature” it’s not an easy process, but the Holy Spirit lives with you and He will help you develop the gifts He gives you. You must strive to be holy, not perfect, but holy. The process will take time, but it means giving up the old ways.

“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or and extortioner – not even to eat with such a person.” I Corinthians 5:11 I would add to this anyone who teaches a false gospel…

The formula above from the bible still holds true, but if a person refuses to repent and turn from their ways, Paul is very clear about our obligation as Christians. None of this should be done with ease or without prayer, to reject someone is very serious. Remember it’s just like a barrel of apples; if you have one rotten apple and it’s left in the barrel eventually it will corrupt the whole barrel.

The problem seems to be that nobody wants to be wrong, but look at the situation our world today has gotten into. There doesn’t seem to a moral compass any longer, and Christians for the most part want the title, but not the responsibility. Please consider what it means when we reject His commands.
God’s peace, Dan Beliveau

“This worldly definition of love is not Gods definition of Agape. When the World says unconditional they are saying that there is no condition the Lord would ever set that would keep you out of Heaven, and this is a Demonic lie designed to destroy. The Lord God does Hate and even rejects many and He is Just for doing so. “Jacob have I Loved but Esau have I hated” The Worlds wishy washy idea of Love simply does not cut it. Where is your notion of unconditional love concerning the Wicked whom the Lord surely will destroy without mercy to those who have shown no mercy, folks … that is very conditional. For yet another example of Gods conditions read Matthew 6:14,15 very conditional!” Eric DeJesus

Paul Washer
“People tell me judge not lest ye be judged. I always tell them, twist not scripture lest ye be like satan.”

Other verses to consider:

Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:9

In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor Leviticus 19:15b

Something else people should consider. If a person breaks a local or state law, etc it doesn’t excuse them from having to fulfill the requirements of the law.

Like someone used to say “If you can’t do the time, don’t to the crime.”
